Micro-aggression Personal Experience

People often ask me where I'm from and I always say Denmark because thats where I was born and raised and thats also where my family is from. Stereotypically, Danish people tend to have blonde hair and blue eyes but I have Spanish and Brazilian blood so I have darker features. When I tell people I'm from Denmark, I've received a few responses like, "so why don't you have blonde hair and blue eyes?". It doesn't necessarily offend me because I'm proud of who I am and my background but I just don't believe that people should assume something about someone because they thought something else.

I really like this book cover because when I think of Wall Street I think of the buildings and the scenery which is exactly what is portrayed on the cover. The American flag is also strategically placed because Wall Street is such a big part of America.

I really like this cover because I've read this book and it's one of my favorites and I think the cover portrays the book really well. The book seemed very black and white and I feel like this idea of a "big bright light" was seen a lot in the book. It's a very messy book and kind of confusing which the random lines represent well.

I really like the design of this book cover because of the colors and the flower petals and just layout. It looks like it was handmade and the writing was painted onto a piece of paper. It looks 3D almost as if you can just pick the flower petals off the page.

I really like this design as well because of the picture. I think it fits well with the title and you can maybe interpret a lot from it. It's very simple but it still says so much.








I really like this book cover because of the simple colors and simple layout. It's interesting to look at and ready and I like the font used as well.

I don't personally think this book cover captures the true story within. I think the image of the wide ocean and the old plane do capture a small portion of it, but not the moral or significance of the story.

Feb break

Over February break I stayed in the city and hung out with my friends. My friend and I went to different Australian coffee shops all throughout the city (she's Australian) and we went to a dog store in the village!

Looking at Art in NYC

I saw this artwork at the MoMA in the media exhibit. There were old album covers, old radios, chairs and all sorts of media that would've been seen throughout history. I was really drawn to this because of all the different colors and how it really pops out at you. Theres a lot going on which makes it really appealing to look at. It reminds me of music such as The Beatles and The Rolling Stones. The fonts are all different shapes and sizes and the colors really stand out to me and reminds me of the '80's.
